Contrary to what the photo suggests, I have neither bought nor sold fruit for a living, and the Man from Del Monte look is pure affectation. A Yorkshireman by birth, I am a linguist who then disappeared down the rabbit hole of Church History for a while, wrote a book nobody ever read, and has eked out a living as a schoolmaster to fuel my obsession with unreliable vehicles.
